I spent over €450 and endless hours preparing a UK visitor visa application from Spain, only to have it refused for reasons that are completely arbitrary and ridiculous. Despite having a stable job, sufficient savings, and strong family ties at home including a daughter I would never abandon the officer questioned my finances and my relationship with my brother, who is merely hosting me, not sponsoring me. The UK visa process is inflexible, mechanical, and utterly disconnected from reality. There is no opportunity to clarify minor doubts before refusal, and paying hundreds of euros just to have your life, work, and family obligations dismissed on bureaucratic whims is unacceptable. Frankly, the UK is not a place I would ever wish to live. The UK government should be ashamed of a system that imposes financial and emotional stress with such little logic or consideration for genuine applicants. This process offers no real value and is a farce for anyone with real ties and responsibilities in their home country. Such a shame!!!
