Try to book an appointment but upon arrive the reception staff ignored me after I asked for help, would not recommended, poor customer service
hi I would just like to say a great big thank you. I came to the citizens advice desperate to get help filling in my husband’s PIP renewal form. Upon visiting the Stafford Park 1 In Telford. When I arrived I was buzzed in. I spoke to a young man who was very pleasant. (I’m so sorry i didn’t know his name) I was asked for some details and given a form to fill in. When I filled out the form I went back to the receptionist who took my form and asked for details and I was given an appointment. I attended my appointment at the Stafford Park branch. On my appointment day I was greeted by a lovely man called Neil. Neil was very pleasant (a lovely man) and thorough filling in the pip form. He took the information I was giving him. Neil completed the form for me and I really really appreciated it. My Husband’s form was sent off and we had a reply not long after, My husband was given the pip 👏 So I wanted to let you know about the results. I wanted to say a big thank you to Neil for filling in my husband’s form. Overall I was treated with respect from the minute I walked in to the time I left. The staff were very friendly, helpful and could not do enough for me. THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING ME. Thank You once again and I will definitely recommend you to everyone. 😀😀
For sometime I've been needing help signing back on to Universal Credit - that JCP/DWP took me off on a whim(!) JCP/DWP have for years been my 'mental health' nemesis & I can not cope on with dealing with them. No end of other 'organisations' have made 'bright promises' - but have never 'delivered'. CAB are, admittedly, probably my 'last chance'. For most of this year I have been chasing the [woman?] from CAB that, apparently, 'sits in' on the UC phone application call. This is not ideal as I will still likely 'freak out', but it is what is being offered. I feel I'd cope better were I to (try to) complete the Online process with assistance. But when I've been told a place & time this person will be available [s]he hasn't been there - for whatever reason(!) Not even at the Stafford Park office. Now even the thought that were I to try again with CAB it would fail again gets me upset. OK. This person is likely a volunteer but CAB is a funded Service & to 'promise' access & not deliver is shabby to say the least. Alas, when I volunteered there some years ago it was already showing signs of 'service failings' - mostly from Civil Service attitude & bitching.
