I witnessed a project worker go from bubbly and excited to absolutely drained and low within months after they had a new manager at the St.Mungo's accomodation I live at. Every time they had to interact with the manager it was like all the light drained from them. I tried to ask about it but they said that this is how it is now and there's nothing that can be done as they'd already tried to change things. Sometimes I overheard the support staff talking. My project worker wasn't allowed to talk about it with me and became teary eyed when I asked. I don't think my social worker would have referred me here if they'd have known about the culture.
St mungos saved my life, I’m so grateful for their help. It was many years ago that I was homeless now, but I will never forget.
I haven't had an experience with these people but I just saw an advert and looked them up...if you really wanted to help the people then couldn't you downsize or relocate your offices? They look a bit swanky. Surely costs alot to run. Asking everyone for donations when you coukd literally help them monthly with the money you save on the rent. These people putting dogs in the advert tugging on the heart strings of the viewers.
Treated at St mongos like animal in a coral that has not riggh or behave multiples time just straight after waking up from the floor whete we sleep spending here my days without chance for them to look at the list of need wich what I arrived here real support that they offer
Id give it a zero but i dont have the option, ive lived in a st mungos property for 5 years, in that time ive had problem after problem that either takes over a year to resolve or doesnt get resolved at all, good luck trying to call the repair line because they dont answer and even when you e-mail with a problems it still takes months to get sorted, currently living in a property with my asthmatic child with MOULD INSIDE MY WALLS and rotten wood beams in the walls among other issues! The mould was first reported on the 31st of july, have since put in 2 formal complaints and now had to involved the housing ombudsman, honestly if you get offered housing with them dont even bother taking it cos your not even allowed to request an exchange so now im stuck here
