They got my place on time. But they were accused me of having too much items and start to shout. They were very impatient and kept shouting at us despite the fact that we have 2.5 hours window. Apparently, they cannot remember what has been said and accusing all the time. AVOID this company if you don’t want to be shout at for 2 hours. They left my place within 2 hours. Due to this impatient and hurrying nature, there several items were left in my place. We had to put into our luggage to bring them back. There are also some items had to be discarded (not valuable but have some good memory).
An international move is bound to have some surprises and Santa Fe Relocation helped me navigate them with grace and professionalism. Everyone I dealt with did everything to offer the best experience possible. Highly recommend!
Do not use this company if you want to get your stuff in a timely manner. They screwed up the basic paperwork, writing the wrong container number on the bill of lading, which led to a month-long delay in port while all of the paperwork had to be redone. That meant that I had to spend an additional month paying for a hotel when I had already started paying rent on an apartment based on the timing when my shipment full of furniture arrived. I asked Santa Fe to cover the costs of the hotel and despite weeks of their leadership team “reviewing” the costs and situation they just keep telling me to be patient. They screwed up the basics and I’m out $1600+ USD. Update: About 6 weeks after receiving my shipment, Santa Fe reimbursed me for most of my hotel expenses (minus a large chunk of money for bank fees and currency transfers since despite quoting me in USD from a country that uses USD to a country that uses USD, they agreed to a reimbursement amount in Euros and then converted it to USD before transferring through HSBC which charges high transfer fees. I received a total of almost $100 less than they agreed to give me.). This was a ridiculously long time to wait. Even before receiving the money, they asked me to take down this review. I stand by my initial assertion that you should not use this company for any shipments.
I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. It is honestly one of the worst companies I have dealt with. They never answer the phone, and no one responds to emails either. The document processing and approvals take an extremely long time, and the staff do not seem to know which documents are actually required for the move. Because of this, everything keeps getting delayed. Communication is very poor — there is no proper support and it is very difficult to get any updates. Overall, the service is unprofessional and extremely slow. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I needed to execute on an international move with not much lead time. Anita Bassi got me sorted very quickly and Michael Farrar has kept a close eye on my household goods while they're in transit. Both have been great to work with and I'd highly recommend SantaFe for your next relocation.
