Public Statement Regarding Plymouth Hope (Charity No. 1153472) I am making this statement to publicly address the deeply inappropriate and malicious actions taken by Plymouth Hope, a registered charity. After I asked a straightforward and legitimate question—why they refer to themselves as a Community Interest Company (CIC) when this is not reflected in their legal name or registration—their response was not to clarify or engage professionally. Instead, they chose to investigate my personal Facebook profile and, without any communication to me, contacted someone they believed to be my current employer. Their intent was clear: to damage my reputation and income through slanderous and defamatory claims. Let me be absolutely clear: this was not a misunderstanding. This was a deliberate and targeted attempt to intimidate and silence me for raising a valid concern about transparency—something every publicly funded organisation should welcome, not punish. This behaviour is not only unethical, it may be unlawful. I am currently seeking legal advice and will be raising this matter with the Charity Commission, local councils, and other public and private funders who support this organisation. Funders and the public have a right to know how this charity treats individuals who ask questions. To be attacked in this way—especially by someone who claims to be a “safeguarding lead”—is beyond unacceptable. It undermines the very principles of safeguarding, accountability, and public trust. I will not be intimidated. I will pursue every appropriate channel to ensure this behaviour is exposed and addressed.
