You don’t have a single game shop where you can buy the latest and brand new games. How does anyone get the newest games in Doncaster 😂 all you got is a Cex and it’s all used and doesn’t have the latest new games brand new sealed. Doncaster council gone cheap on us.
I am an adult who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I have consistently experienced rude and disrespectful behaviour for the past 2 years from all staff across several departments, including the Contact Centre, the Community Adult Learning Disability Team, and the Customer Experience Team. On one occasion, I was accused of making a racist comment when I had not said anything racist. I recorded all of my telephone conversations and provided the recordings to other professionals for an independent opinion. They all confirmed that they could not identify any racist comments being made by me. Being falsely accused in this way has been extremely upsetting and distressing. I have also found that many members of staff repeatedly talk over me instead of allowing me to explain my enquiry. Rather than listening and understanding my concerns, I often feel dismissed and ignored. This is particularly difficult because my autism means I may need additional time to explain myself, which is a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act 2010. I am deeply disappointed by the standard of service I have received. In my experience, there has been a lack of compassion and empathy from social workers and management staff, even during some of the most difficult periods of my life. I felt unsupported after I reported being sexually assaulted, and I also felt that staff showed little concern when I was admitted to the resuscitation unit at my local hospital following a serious mental health crisis. Overall, I believe the way I have been treated has been unacceptable. I ask that these concerns are investigated thoroughly and that appropriate action is taken to ensure that staff communicate respectfully, make reasonable adjustments for autistic service users, and treat vulnerable people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
