Inept service not fit for purpose. I'm disabled and have degenerative disease. Used CAB once in 2024 to assist in insolvency but their bad advice left me in debt AFTER the insolvency went through, making my life worse than if they had done nothing. Now, I need help with legal stuff before I'm made homeless and have exhausted absolutely every possibility. Web chat refusing to connect due to being busy, phone queues kick you out and never answering, so off I go to live back on the streets as a disabled deteriorating at risk adult. Thanks CAB, I'll pop you in my will! P.s Just been kicked out of phone queue again after 45 minutes wait! Ever heard of Call Backs CAB? Hmm??? It is absolutely disgusting that you treat people this way, especially as by the very nature of your service, the people trying to reach you are already in distress. You are exacerbating people's mental difficulties by teasing help and advice with glorified promises on your website, yet clearly are 100% incapable of delivering effectively. Whilst I was working I pulled business out of markets for far less. Just disgusting treatment of people at their most vulnerable. My mental health will legitimately be safer if I simply stop trying to defend myself against the Housing Association that's putting my life at risk and just go live in a tent, and that is what I am now doing. Because my housing association have been committing benefit fraud in my name, abusing me for being disabled, and now have had my payments cancelled with absolutely no legal grounds to do so. But they are being allowed to do it because the services like CAB that are supposed to help, JUST MAKE THINGS WORSE! Edit: In response to CAB's reply: Come to you? Whilst so many comments reflect just as much trouble getting in person advice as phone or web chat? Absolutely not. With the time I'm having, coming to you is exactly the sort of bad day I don't need right now. I'm having to Litigate in Person (LiP) and file my own county court suit against them and just hope to god that I can pull it off. I've had to learn to do that because nobody that is trained to do it has capacity to help me. If you had capacity to help me you wouldn't be booting people from phone menus and your web chat would be switched on.

Took time off work to attend a telephone appointment. No one called. Waited for the call. Had numerous texts reminding me that I must attend the appointment. Unbelievable and time wasters. Ridiculous
